Programmable Fully‑Automated Cleveland Open‑Cup Flash & Fire Point Analyzer AZA1290

The AZA1290 Flash Point Analyzer from AZA Lab is a programmable, fully automated Cleveland Open-Cup (COC) flash and fire point testing system, engineered for high-accuracy determination of flash and fire points of petroleum products and combustible liquids. Designed in full compliance with ASTM D92 and ISO 2592, the AZA1290 delivers exceptional precision, repeatability, safety, and laboratory efficiency.

Flash and fire point determination is a critical safety and quality parameter for fuels, lubricants, oils, and chemicals. The AZA1290 eliminates manual variability by automating heating control, ignition, detection, data recording, and safety shutdown, making it ideal for modern petroleum laboratories and regulatory environments.

Description

Description

Automated Cleveland Open-Cup Flash & Fire Point Testing

The Cleveland Open-Cup method is internationally recognized as the preferred technique for testing materials with higher flash points (typically above 79°C). Unlike manual systems, the AZA1290 ensures consistent heating rates, precise ignition timing, and objective detection, significantly reducing operator error.

The test sequence begins with programmable temperature ramping, controlled by a high-precision heating system. A high-sensitivity thermocouple continuously monitors sample temperature. At the flash point, vapors ignite momentarily; continued heating allows identification of the fire point, defined as sustained combustion for at least five seconds.

An automatic electric spark ignition system and motor-driven test cup mechanism ensure accurate, repeatable ignition without manual flame application.
