PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The AZA1288 determines the distillation characteristics of petroleum products by heating a measured sample under controlled conditions and recording the temperatures at which specific percentages of the sample evaporate.

The sample is heated in a borosilicate glass distillation flask using a PID-controlled heater. Generated vapors pass through a stainless-steel condenser and are collected in a graduated receiver chamber. The system accurately records critical temperature points including:
