TIMKEN LOAD TESTER AZA1330
The AZA1330 Timken Load Tester from AZA LAB is a high-precision instrument designed to evaluate the load-carrying capacity and extreme-pressure (EP) properties of lubricants and greases. The equipment conforms to ASTM D2782 (for lubricating fluids) and ASTM D2509 (for lubricating greases) test methods, collectively known as the Timken Method.
This method is widely recognized in tribology and lubricant testing for determining the ability of a lubricant or grease to withstand heavy loads and prevent wear under boundary lubrication conditions. The test results provide a reliable indication of a lubricant’s anti-wear and extreme pressure performance.
Description
Principle of Operation
The Timken Load Tester operates by pressing a rotating steel test ring against a stationary steel test block under a progressively increasing load. The test continues until scuffing, seizure, or scoring occurs.
The applied load at the failure point determines the Timken OK Load, which quantifies the EP performance of the tested lubricant.
This method is suitable for both lubricating oils and greases containing extreme-pressure additives, and is used globally by lubricant formulators, R&D centers, and QA/QC laboratories.

APPARATUS FOR HYDROGEN SULFIDE TESTER AZA1314
The Apparatus for Hydrogen Sulfide Tester AZA1314 from AZA Lab conforms to the ASTM D7621 Standard Test Method for the determination of hydrogen sulfide in fuel oils by rapid liquid phase extraction.
In this method, a weighed test sample is placed into a heated vessel containing a diluent base oil, where air is bubbled through to extract hydrogen sulfide gas. The extracted gas is then directed, via a vapor phase processor (Procedure A), to an H₂S-specific electrochemical detector, which measures its concentration in air and calculates the amount in the liquid phase in mg/kg. For Procedure B, the use of a filter cartridge is not required.
